This Textile Testing & Processing fundamental course will be like a feather in the cap for the

layman who wants to work in the textiles and garments manufacturing/exporting/importing

industry. He/she will become familiar with some of the technical terms used here, and can

apply them in his/her work. Or maybe one may just want to learn more.

The best advantage will come when these tests & processes are actually performed by

him/her in a textile laboratory or mill, or when one is required to be familiar with some

technicalities.

Textiles is an evergreen , age-old and a highly rewarding industry.

I am dedicating this course to my late father S.Ramiah, who had served the textile industry

all over in India for 40 years as a government servant in the Textiles Committee as a Textiles

Inspector.

Processing Zone (CEPZ - Mumbai), under the guidance of Mr.Iyer, (Retired Professor from

Sasmira College of Textile Technology, (Mumbai))

(and having 15 years job experience as a Garment Export Merchandiser in companies such

as Acme Exports(Mumbai); Cavaal Clothing (Pune); PS Apparels (Chennai) and

as a Technical Auditor in Gokaldas Exports (Bangalore)).
